- Plot for shopping mall should be of regular size with clear corners. It can be square or rectangular. Irregular plot may have it’s own set of Vastu Doshas.
- Mall should be designed such a way so that maximum Open space is kept at North and East direction. A park or Garden can be kept at these directions.
- Slope of the ground should be from Southwest being towards Northeast. Northeast should be kept at lowest slope.
- Underground water tank at northeast keep the water element balanced and good for overall prosperity. Fountains and other running water decorations are best to place here.
- Southwest side of the mall should be kept tallest and heaviest. Even the walls in this direction should be made a little thicker than North and East.
- Electric Generator, Power backups, Air conditioning and other electric installations should be placed in Southeast direction.
- Toilets and Restrooms should be placed in Northwest direction.
- Escalators and Stairs should be in Southern part of the Mall.
- Any Multiplex should be in North and East Zone of the Mall. Seating arrangement in the Theatre should be from South to North or West to East.
- Open Brahamsthan with Glass top in Centre is a great idea as it balances the Ether(Aakash) element. Good Lighting is also an important success element in a shopping mall.
- Food court should be placed in Southeast or Northwest of the Mall.
- A shopping mall is a complex arrangement on which lot of people depend economically. Hence the Colours, Lights and Furniture must be installed as per Vastu recommendations.
