Main door must be commissioned as per Vastu Rules. It is one of the most important parts of building. All the positive and negative energy enter through this. It’s a myth that Main door should be only in East or North. As per Vastu Shastra all directions are good. However there are Certain Parts(Padas) in each direction where main door should be avoided.
Nonetheless there are Firm rules that one should follow for main door.
- Main entrance door of any building must be bigger than the rest of the doors in the building. It should always open inside. If you have single door at the entrance then make sure that it opens to the left only.
- On a South or West-facing plot, Southwest corner must be avoided for making the main entrance for the house.
- There should not be any obstacle in front of the main door like a corner of other house, a pole or large tree. This is called “Dwar-Vedh” and should be avoided. If its not possible then it must be treated.
- If the house is on Cut or extended plot , then The main door should not be in an extended or cut part of the plot.
- Door should not make any noise while closing or opening. If its there, then get it repaired immediately
- .There should be ample light on the main entrance. A well-lit main door attracts lots of positivity.
