- Lawns and home garden should be kept in North and Northeast part of the house. However One cant grow large trees in this part of the house.
- Small Shrubs and Flower plants are must for home garden. Such plants keep the atmosphere positive and mood jovial.
- Thorny plants and trees like Cactus and tamarind should not be planted in the house garden. They brings negativity in the relationships.
- Holy Basil or Tulsi is an essential for the home garden. Tulsi absorbs the negativity of the atmosphere. If you have a Vastu dosha in any part of the house, Placing a Tulsi do wonders here.
- A Fountain or small lotus pond in the northeast is recommended. Water bodies in northeast bring positivity and prosperity in the house.
- Large Trees can be planted in the south of the house. However these must be at some distance from the house.
- Creepers should not be grown on the boundary wall. However in the garden area creepers are believed to bring positive results.
- Artefacts that depict sorrow, loneliness and miseries must not be placed in the garden. Now days such art works are becoming popular on the name of modern art. However Vastu is strictly against using such things.
- The plants that ooze milk like substance such as rubber etc. should not be a part of your garden collection.
- It’s a great idea to put some seeds and water for birds in the northwest direction of your garden. Chirping birds brings good luck to your home.
