Kitchen is the most important part of any household. To keep the flow of positivity and good health in a home, Kitchen must be designed as per Vastu.

• Best direction for making kitchen in a house is Southeast corner. If it’s not possible then Northwest corner can be used for the purpose. Other acceptable directions are South and East.

• Always Face towards East While cooking in a Kitchen. It ensures the proper flow of positivity of Sun in the house.

• All the cooking appliances that signify Fire, like Stoves, Ovens, Microwave Ovens etc. should be placed in Southeast Corner.

• Wash Basins and Sinks should be placed in North or Northeast direction of the Kitchen.  Fire and Water and Anti elements, so there should be a proper balance to maintain good health and cash-flow in the household.

• The Refrigerator should be positioned in West or South Directions.

• Slope of the kitchen should be from Southwest to Northeast directions. This ensures good flow of positive vibes in the house.

• Kitchen should not be adjacent to Toilet or under it. One must also avoid making Kitchen under the Staircase.

• Rice, Flour like grains can be placed in Southwest direction of the Kitchen. Spices etc. can be stored in Northwest direction of the Kitchen.

• Colour Scheme should be neutral in the Kitchen. Cream, Light yellow and light shades of Pink are considered best. However Black, Green and Blue must be avoided.
• Placing a Picture of Annapurna Mata in Kitchen brings prosperity in Household.
