As the demand rises, builders are making use of every inch of space available. Everyone wants a flat with balcony and rooms with attached bathrooms. Due to this kind of demand, odd shapes of flats are flooding in the market. Result is most of them are not Vastu complaint.

As per Vastu 80% of Flats and apartments are not good for living, However Each and every builder claims that their building is Vastu complaint. Here are the points one should consider to avoid the pitfalls.

• Do not buy oddly shaped apartments. Flats should be of proper shape, be it Rectangular or square. Now a days builders create odd shaped flats with cut corners to bring more balconies etc. Remember Cut corner means either part of Vastu Purush is cut and results related to that part are already lacking in our life

• Prefer a flat with entry on North or East side. Avoid entry on the South or West esp. southwest. It might attract struggle in life.

• Kitchen should not face towards main entry of the flat. Most of the flats have Kitchen next to the main entrance. If it’s a north entry flat, then it’s very much likely to be in Northeast, which is not a good placement for Kitchen. Always try to buy a flat with Kitchen in Southeast or Northwest.

• Avoid buildings with large water bodies or swimming pool in the South and West Zone of the building.

• Water boring, Swimming pool and lawns in the north and east are auspicious for everyone living in the building.

• If there are bigger buildings in the South and West of your building, it is considered good as per Vastu. On the contrary bigger buildings on the north and east are not considered good.

• Your Flat should have open space and balconies towards east and north side. Large Balconies and terraces towards South and West is inauspicious.

• There must be at least one bedroom in the Southwest corner of the flat. Bedroom in southwest brings stability and prosperity.

• Toilet should be placed as per Vastu. Avoid flats with toilet in Northeast direction. It brings overall miseries and troubles.
